Extruder, vessels and clay structures
Rina Peleg, a Bezalel graduate and ceramic artist, has returned to Israel after 35 years in New York, USA where she developed a unique style using coils and the extruder to express her artistic language. Her works developed from functional vessels to large sculptural installations. She has shown her work in leading galleries in New York and in important international exhibitions.
Introduction to Extruder The extruder as a tool that enables variety and a broad spectrum of options in ceramics. The course offers an introduction to work practices and possibilities using an extruder including techniques such as weaving, basketry and building clay structures. Cost: 800 Shekels for 5 meetings including clay and firing. Advanced Extruder Workshop We will continue exploring woven ceramic objects not using moulds. We will experiment using hollow extrusions to create sculptural objects and discuss the various techniques.
